I think the biggest problem will be the language... So much people won't do any effort to speak english...
Tell them if you have english-friends-speakers! ;)

Well it depends, I don't know why I have the feeling that you are over-evaluating the number of french placebo fans. There are loads more english speakers, either by mother-tongue or second idiom.

I guess that in this case the problem would be the lack of promotion.

What I meant in my previous post was that the forum is not known, I mean there aren't enough places you can read about it and in that way you don't know about its existence.

@ the admin: did you post information or links to this forum to other places aswell, except placebocity?

I have the link at my signature at another forum too, but no one from there has come.
I try to invite personally, people I know and trust or make a good first impression on me (like you lebcabo!!).
Anyway, I need your help to attract more members. You can tell them to come here if they want and that would help a lot ;) Talking to all of you :D

Personally, I don't know persons who can be agree to come here. They don't speak english, and they don't like Placebo ! :lol:

A good friend of mine is a huge placebo addict, and by the way girls he is a boy :twisted:, but he is not into forums and all and he says he doesn't write in english, so I'd better shut my mouth :lol:

And another girl could come here - and she speaks/writes english, but I don't know if she has the time + she doesn't know any placebo fans - except me :lol:

I think the fact is that many people don't want to register on a small forum. When they see how few registered users and topics are here, they think it doesn't deserve to join.

Now to get more users you should post an announcement about your forum on the biggiest English-speaking Placebo forums on the Internet such as sweet-prince.com and rapidforum (placeboforum.co.uk)

And to be true it will be kinda hard to develop this message board cause you have a Placebo forum but have no Placebo site. As a rule originally a site attracts people, unites them. But don't upset, you must try. Just don't stop creating new topics and post more messages.

First of all, thanks for joining Amethyst. I'm waiting to see your topic with your presentation at the Song to say hello.

Now about the forum, I have the link at my signature at all the forums I am registered which are about six. One is rapidforum and another very big is PlaceboCity. Maybe is that it is small, but I can do nothing for their opinion The only person who was not personally invited to come here is Diederik(BelgiumFan).

And for the site....I was about to create a site and when I thought better of it I understood it would be a looot of work and I didn't have the time. But I wanted my Placebo world and decided to create a forum. It still is a lot of work, but I don't think as much as a site. Anyway I hope I will create one soon
Finally, even these few posts and topics that are here, are not only an effort by me but other members helped a lot too.
I won't refer to each one, you know, but I will say that I miss lepcabo from here. She was one from those who helped me soo much and the proof is she was a moderator...

I think it's explainable that people from rapidforum and placebocity don't want to register here now. Just imagine they have a lot of friends there, on their forums, they know every thread there. It's natural that they don't want to leave those forums which are like home for them for your message board. But I'm sure your actions are right. It's right that you put a link to your forum in the signature and post messages on rapidforum, city etc. You have more opportunities to be noticed. And people won't take you for a stranger.

I miss lepcabo from here. She was one from those who helped me soo much and the proof is she was a moderator...

What happened to her? You quarreled?

Btw how long has this forum been existing?

Yes, you're right...I'll keep trying. I think I'm doing it quite ok.
About lepcabo: No, we didn't quarrel (thank God!) she just has a log-in problem. We tried every possible solution, but nothing. Anyway, I think the problem will be solved soon and she will be back again (I'm really looking forward to that moment )
