^SAME!!!! i just cant call him Steve as if it is something offensive to sweet old Steve (when i talk like this i always refer to Mr.Hewitt).

@katya: i knew that Brian's half American so i called the band half american one...or it would be one-third...

and at least it's better than Robert coming back, that would be defenitely the end of the world...

On a recent trip to Toronto, I ran into queer guitarist Stefan Olsdal from the British alternative-rock trio Placebo. He said they were in Canada recording new album with a new drummer. The already written material will have a rock edge to it in the style of PJ Harvey and My Bloody Valentine. Olsdal also promises that Placebo will take to the road again soon. Placebo's 2006 opus, Meds, features Alison Mosshart from the Kills on the title track and the remake of Kate Bush's “Running up That Hill” had its video—consisting of a collage of fan clips—come out last year.

I saw this on SP then I was shocked...that means I was right about the style they might get into.

Psychedelic + noise pop + shoegazing, basically indie rock......god that's my favorite...LOL!!!!!

I'd come to the conclusion simply becuz of the producer they announced to be working with, David Bottrill, who mixed King Crimson - Thrak (1995),dEUS - The Ideal Crash (1999),Muse - Origin of Symmetry (2001) and even got involved in Dream Theate's album Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory!!!!

If they would produce an album like my assumption...god, THAT MUST BE THE GREATEST THING IN THE WORLD...

one of my friends who founded a band told me that the boy playing drums reminded him of a little monkey, and there was something incoordinate in it...

i dont know drums well so i cant judge as well

I've found out about this news like three days ago.
I wouldn't judge the drummer at all, from the side of his image or skills or whatever. I don't know him.
It's a great news that Placebo are finally back recording. I was kind of worried if they ever record anything after the Steve-split. I know they said that Placebo continues even without Steve, but that's what all bands say when they lose some of its members.

It has been only 15 days I have been away and not checking out about Placebo news and now here they are!! I am absolutely excited with finding out that they are actually recording and will even be on tour some time soon (I hope).
Now...what about this American guy..? Yes, he is absolutely American with that style of his that I don't even know what to say... I just hope Placebo won't become like this. One of the reasons I love them, is because they are different and have their own style. I just like this guy's hair.
And yeah...can't call him Steve! It doesn't even suit/fit to him!! For me he is just Evaline's drummer, I can't even imagine him performing with Brian and Stefan closedeyes

Last thing.....couldn't they post some new pictures of Placebo?? God...we're missing them!! I feel like they don't understand us or don't CARE..... sad
