Bah the europeans really have the best video, Brian as sexy Nancy, 97 again, so happy I missed that first time round, I'm not biting your head off Angina I totally agree, love it ! Love him being so sexy, girly, saw a clip of Never Ending Why, Ashtray Heart is easily the best for Nancy Brian alone, shallow I know but who cares !

LOL, my favorite nancy Molks...i just wonder, why would Brian allow his stylist to make such an inviting nancy image out of himself, whom he claimed to be mature, serious and no more nancy nowadays? Liar Molks...wearing the eyeliners and smoky eyeshadow, say, "I'm not nancy, I'm serious"...well let's view this as his inner pursuit of beauty instead of some dirty thought of him pleasing the public.

and for TNEW, i think it's pretty good, reminds me of some cult-animation and it's really unique. yeah it fits the song better than Ashtray heart, to some extent it helps understanding the lyrics a lot.

Of course he's a liar, he loves it the little tease !

And I'm glad, love him the best being Nancy !

I think the NEW has got merits, it reminds me the five minute films UK C4 shows, in their new director slots, but obviously I prefer AH because of Nancy Brian !

i think they are much better... at least i'm sure Brian's wearing LBD!!!! For that the fans ripped one i couldnt see clearly how the dress looks like...now it's clear that it is LITTLE BLACK DRESS.

Sorry to say, but I think both videos are very bad. Without any sense of art... They should look again their videos like Special Needs, The Bitter End, STSG... And even those where Brian does look nancy, but the video is good, eg 36 Degrees... I'm disappointed. That's how I feel after watching those videos more times.

Never thought I'd ever see Nancy again, this is defeinetely the best video, not so happy at all with NEW, as I said C4 student film !

^yeah...the first time watching TNEW, i thought it was good but for the second time it turned so-so.

For AH, honestly speaking I love Brian's apparel and his performance rather than the visual effects and the idea of the vid...

But still I consider TNEW as somewhat a good one, cuz I preferred story-telling videos indeed...what comes first to me is always how Brian looks in the vid, yeah i know this is shallow...so my favorites are Pure Morning and TIM, but the rest 3 of my TOP 5 all tell stories, teenage angst, meds and song to say goodbye...

I agree that AH is not typically PLACEBO cuz it lacks a story, i thought the vid for AH should involve at least some sceneries related to the lyrics but unfortunately there's nothing but band playing...

I think AH is just awful, it looks all cheap and unprofessional. Someone from LJ expressed exactly my thought. Quote: Ashtray heart looks like it was made by a 12 year old who just discovered a video editing program and thinks it will look cool if he adds a bunch of trippy effects -That's what I think too.

I can't properly enjoy Brian's beauty because he's all blurry there. And they don't show Stef's close-ups there. Steve's close-ups are shown only twice or something... As if it's Brian Molko's video, not Placebo's.

TNEW is better. At least it makes me want to listen to the song once more after watching the video though can't say I want to re-watch the video.

i know it's merely some long top...but i prefer to call it LBD cuz it does resemble that...that'd be more funny...

Damn, I have my hospital pre-op tomorrow, so I'll miss it ! But I'm a bit concerned Brian is supposed to be resting, not doing more promotion work , Reading is only two days away, he shouldn't be doing that,never mind anything else ! It can't have been recorded awhile back, because it says the session is being filmed.

People at Pukklepop on Saturday said his voice was off, shouldn't he be resting it, he could seriously damage his voice if he's not careful, ( goes into concerned mother mode ! ) enough Brian just rest, your fans will still be here in six weeks !!!!

^ I agree. I watched two vids from Pukkelpop, he sung a lot of high notes lower cuz he couldnt make it. His voice sounds really weird that makes me really concerned about him...
